Elizabeth Olivea Tescum

Elizabeth Tescum is a Legal Assistant with a strong academic and leadership background rooted in advocacy, communication, and community engagement. She recently graduated from Seton Hall University with a triple major in Sociology, Criminal Justice, and Political Science, along with a minor in Africana Studies. Her academic work focused heavily on social systems, public policy, and the intersection between law, media, and society. Her university awarded her the Bishop Joseph A Francis Freedom Service Award for her outstanding achievement and impact in the classroom, on campus, and in the community.

Throughout her collegiate career, Elizabeth held numerous leadership positions that strengthened her ability to lead with professionalism, organization, and integrity. She served as the 2nd Vice President of the NAACP, President of the National Pan-Hellenic Council, President of the Council of Africana Scholars, and Vice President of the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated. She also represented collegiate members statewide as the Undergraduate Member-at-Large on the New Jersey State Executive Board for Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated. This helped her bring to the firm a detail-oriented mindset, strong interpersonal skills, and a passion for justice and client advocacy. Her experience balancing rigorous academics with extensive leadership roles has equipped her with the ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining professionalism and compassion. She has a particular interest in civil rights and trial advocacy and plans to attend law school as she continues building a career within the legal field.

She is passionate about advancing equity and justice and takes pride in contributing to a team dedicated to advocating for those whose voices deserve to be heard. Her dedication to service and lifelong learning continues to guide both her professional development and her aspirations within the legal field.
Outside of her professional and academic pursuits, Elizabeth enjoys community outreach, mentorship, traveling, and creating meaningful connections within the communities she serves.
